Türkiye Cyber Security Cluster participated in the 4th National Cyber Security Forum held in sister country Azerbaijan.
The forum was held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Baku on June 4, 2026, with the theme of "National Cyber Security Ecosystem"; It brought together government officials, academics, representatives of international organizations and senior executives of technology companies.
Speaking at the forum, representing the Republic of Turkey, Advisor to the Presidency of Defense Industries and General Coordinator of the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster, Alpaslan Kesici, said that cyber security is no longer just a technical field; He emphasized that it is one of the basic elements of national sovereignty, strategic independence and digital security.
In his speech, Kesici pointed out the risks that excessive dependence on foreign cyber security products may pose, and stated that it is critical for countries to develop their own technologies and strengthen their domestic cyber security ecosystems.
Stating that 216 companies operate within the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster today and nearly 400 domestic cyber security products have been developed, Kesici stated that Turkey has created a significant capacity in this field.
Pointing out that human resources are one of the most important elements of cyber security, Kesici stated that young people are brought into the sector through the Cyber Homeland Program, university communities and training activities. He also stated that educational cooperation with friendly and brotherly countries increases regional cyber resilience.
At the end of his speech, Kesici addressed young people and drew attention to the importance of raising innovative and productive individuals who have a command of open source technologies. He emphasized that the Turkish world has the potential to develop cyber security technologies that can compete on a global scale.
The forum witnessed important messages on strengthening cyber security cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, digital sovereignty, domestic technology development and qualified human resources.
