NATO Deputy Secretary General visited METU Teknokent Informatics and Innovation Center.David Van Weel, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges (ASG/ESC) and Secretariat Representative Philipp Moritz Zimmermann, DIANA(Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) Program He visited METU Teknokent and made contacts.The meeting started with the presentation of METU Teknokent General Manager Serdar Alemdar, which included the work done so far within the framework of the innovation accelerator program.T.R. Head of the Cyber Security Department of the Presidential Digital Transformation Office Salih Talay, informed the NATO Deputy Secretary General and the accompanying delegation with his presentation covering the work of the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster to date. Talay also talked about the Seed Project developed by Siber Cluster for start-up companies.

Head of Cyber Security and Information Systems Department of the Presidency of Defense Industries Ahmet Bahadır Bülbül, SSB Consultant and General Coordinator of Türkiye Cyber Security Cluster Alpaslan Cutter and Entrepreneurship and Sectoral Development Coordinator Merve Ozmen also participated.It was observed that the NATO Deputy Secretary General watched the presentations with interest.The DIANA Program aims to bring together NATO, technology companies and researchers working in these fields in the fields of "deep technology" and "disruptive technologies", which NATO has determined as priority areas. Within the scope of DIANA, priority will be given to studies in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data processing, quantum-supported technologies, autonomous technologies, biotechnology, new generation materials and space.Within the scope of the DIANA (Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) Program, TÜBİTAK and METU from Turkey were selected as an accelerator and test center among 9 countries.For the program, which will establish offices in two regions in England and Canada, 47 test centers and nine accelerator centers have been determined in 20 countries. TÜBİTAK Informatics and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center based in Gebze in Turkey and TÜBİTAK Defense Industry Research and Development Institute based in Ankara will be the test center for the studies to be carried out within the scope of the DIANA program. One of DIANA's accelerator centers will be ODTU TEKNOKENT.The project will be launched next April with 3 pilot accelerator regions to be selected. In line with strategic goals, Türkiye Cyber Security Cluster will support companies in developing an idea or start-up within the scope of the Seed Project.
