Türkiye Cyber Security Cluster is working to strengthen the local and national cyber security ecosystem by bringing its members together with public institutions. These meetings aim to provide local solutions to the cyber security needs of both the public and private sectors and to increase Türkiye's independence in the field of cyber security.
The 26th Public Cyber Security Day Event was organized by the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster at the State Supply Office on June 26, 2024. At the meeting attended by officials of many public institutions, the program started with the presentation of "Public Open Source Software Circular" by Presidential Digital Transformation Office (CDDO) Expert Emre AKTÜLÜN. "Use of Open Source Software in the Public" Presentation from the Presidential Digital Transformation Office
Expert Emre AKTÜLÜN from the Presidential Digital Transformation Office “Use of Open Source Software in the Public" He made his presentation on the subject. Aktül mentioned the following in his presentation;
“With the aim of increasing the use of open source software in the public sector, saving on IT expenses, reducing producer dependency, strengthening cyber security and increasing the competitiveness of our country, the Presidency A Presidential Circular on "Use of Open Source Software in the Public" was prepared by the Digital Transformation Office and entered into force on July 29, 2023 with the signature of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The circular determines the use of open source software in the public sector as the main principle, except if there are concrete technical or economic reasons requiring otherwise. In order to see, evaluate and monitor the concrete outputs of this main principle, it is published on the Presidential Digital Transformation Office website. "Open Source Software Migration Analysis and Roadmap Report" has been prepared. Within the scope of the report; Public institutions are expected to first create inventories of commercially licensed products, then make technical and economic analyzes to replace these products with open source equivalents, and make a switchability decision, and if transition cannot be made, state their reasons. In order to guide this study, guide public institutions and facilitate their work, the "Transition to Open Source Software Analysis Guide" was created with TUBITAK - ULAKBİM teams and published on the Presidential Digital Transformation Office website.
As a result of the circular, as of April 29, 2024, many public institutions "Open Source Software Migration Analysis and Roadmap Report" They completed their study and forwarded it to the Presidential Digital Transformation Office. Relevant reports are currently being examined and analysis studies are continuing. “

Aryom Yazılım Introduced DGRNET BIGREY, DGRNET PRODUCT FAMILY and KVKNET products
Aryom Yazılım Business Development Director Hüseyin Çiftçioğlu and Cyber Security Team Leader Fatih Kaplan explained in detail the KVKNET and DGRNET BIGREY solutions, which were developed by targeting the planning, implementation and auditing needs of institutions in KVK processes and the CDDO Information and Communication Security Guide. They stated that, among these solutions, they provided consultancy services to more than 50 public institutions with the KVKNET product, especially by providing consultancy services with lawyer personnel, and that with the DGRNET BIGREY product, in addition to CDDO Information and Communication Security Guide planning and compliance process management, they provided consultancy services to 52 public institutions with asset discovery, asset inventory and auditing in 1 day, and cyber security engineer personnel. While Aryom Software ensures the security of employees and data in the public sector, it also significantly improves operational efficiency with software that is fully compliant with regulations and has no equivalent. Hüseyin Çiftçioğlu stated that other modules in the DGRNET product family, whose development process is ongoing, will be completed by the end of 2024.
