THE 29TH PUBLIC CYBER SECURITY DAY EVENT WAS HELD

Türkiye Cyber Security Cluster continues to bring its members together with our Public Institutions.

Türkiye Cyber Security Cluster is working to strengthen the local and national cyber security ecosystem by bringing its members together with public institutions. These meetings aim to provide local solutions to the cyber security needs of both the public and private sectors and to increase Türkiye's independence in the field of cyber security.

The 29th Public Cyber Security Day event was held by the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster at the State Supply Office on September 30, 2024!

STM (Defence Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc.): Shared experience on Cyber Incident Response (SOC) Processes.

Cyber Fusion Center Group Manager Cüneyt AKDENİZ explained STM Cyber Fusion Center (SFM) in detail. He talked about the integration of business, people, process and technology, combining a single and integrated cyber security approach by combining traditional cyber security functionalities with new capabilities, a multifaceted approach that integrates cyber threat intelligence with security and technological interventions, and directing proactive actions that protect critical technology and information assets with this integration.

Çekino Introduced the Guardian Product

Çekino proudly introduced Gardiyan, a product that ensures system security and allows all system components to be managed from a single application. Çekino R&D Deputy General Manager Bora AVCI explained the features and benefits of the Gardiyan solution in this way; ''The guard is a member of the inventory systems that plays an important role in the system operations of the institutions.

It is a platform that offers high levels of visibility, management, security and monitoring. This innovative solution addresses operational and

It can meet security needs very quickly and at the same time replace costly solutions by providing needs that can be solved with 7-8 products with a single application.

Guard; It supports many operating systems such as Windows, Linux and MacOS, offers the opportunity to monitor many different data from the devices in your inventory, and attracts attention with its PAM, SOC, Patch Management, Client Management and Network modules. In addition, it makes solutions to monitoring, management and security needs fast and easy from machines in different locations, even if they are outside the domain. Gardiyan classifies the data it collects by monitoring according to different needs and offers displays suitable for many user profiles in the institution, such as administrators, system administrators and specialists, with various graphics on visually enriched display panels.

Guardian solution is positioned as an important component of the security operations of many public and private sector institutional references in Türkiye and globally. This solution allows you to detect many problems in all your network components in your inventory within seconds. Çekino is new to system operations with Gardiyan

"It emphasizes that a step has been taken."

DIFOSE introduced uWiPeR, a Portable Secure Data Erasure Device with its Cyber Incident Response and Data Recovery Services.

We encounter news of a new cyber incident and cyber attack almost every day. The type of cyber incident encountered and the magnitude of the damage it causes can turn into a disaster scenario for many institutions and organizations. Therefore, finding the answers to the questions "what, how, why, where, when and who (5Ws and 1K)" in a cyber incident is very important in order to prevent the same cyber incident from occurring again and to increase the level of cyber security maturity.

DIFOSE CEO Şükrü Durmaz stated that digital forensic service in our country is mostly requested after a cyber incident occurs, and that they are trying to bring a new perspective to the sector in order to change the paradigm in this field, and especially emphasized that digital forensic service should be obtained before any cyber incident occurs.

DIFOSE, which has completed its 11th year in the sector, recommends that the information, communication and communication systems of all institutions and organizations, especially critical infrastructures, be checked-up according to the forensic approach. In particular, during the provision of this check-up service, it recommends that the information systems inventory of institutions be classified in terms of cyber incident response processes, that critical systems and other system incident response processes are identified, and that in-depth forensic examination and analysis be carried out on this inventory, just as if an incident had occurred.

Drawing attention to the difficulty of detecting attackers who enter the systems through secret back doors or infiltrate the systems with administrator authority by increasing authority, with existing cyber security instruments, Şükrü Durmaz stated that after collecting artifacts, evidence, registry and various logs in the systems during cyber incident intervention and analyzing them according to forensic principles, they analyzed the findings by combining them with the logs of cyber security instruments such as firewall, VPN, EDR and SIEM and reached the result as soon as possible. For this reason, in order to change the paradigm, he recommended that computer forensics service be obtained before the cyber incident, rather than after it, and pointed out that the cyber security maturity level of institutions and organizations that previously received this service from DIFOSE has increased significantly.

It was emphasized that DIFOSE is the first and only company in Turkey that provides on-site data recovery and on-site data deletion services, and it was stated that there is a mobile data recovery and mobile data deletion team for this purpose.

As a company engaged in R&D, they stated that they have developed more than 10 products and solutions in this field with local and national resources, and among these products, they introduced the portable reliable data deletion device (uWiPeR), which has achieved great success.

uWiPeR portable reliable data deletion device simultaneously erases and reports 4 data storage devices (SATA, SAS, NVMe, USB, Memory Card) and Mobile Phones using 11 different international deletion standards. The device automatically saves the reports in PDF file format and can also print the report with the thermal label printer connected to it. These reports, printed on labels, can be pasted on a disk, phone or computer case. Because; It provides the best solution for the "deletion policy", which is required to be established in accordance with KVKK, ISO27001 and the Presidency DDO BIGR. In accordance with the deletion policy to be created; It is an important obligation to delete data whose processing value has been lost and to keep the deletion report for 3 years. uWiPeR portable reliable data deletion device is a DMO Tekno Catalog product and can be purchased by public institutions and organizations by placing an order through DMO Tekno Catalog without the need for a tender.

The 29th event organized by the Cyber Cluster with the support of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Digital Transformation Office; Presidency, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Ministry of Health, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Gendarmerie General Command, Presidency of Religious Affairs, EGM, BOTAŞ,BTK, DHMİ, DSİ, RTÜK, KGM, MGM, TPAO, TÜRASAŞ, TÜRKSAT, CBRT, PTT, TRT, HALKBANK, VAKIFBANK, COMPETITION AUTHORITY, Senior managers and decision makers from TÜBİTAK and TÜBİTAK Bilgem attended.
