The "Public National Cyber Security Summit", organized for the first time by the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster in order to bring together local Cluster member companies with Public Information Technology Managers, was held on October 1, 2019 at Sheraton Hotel / Ankara.
The Summit, held under the auspices of the Presidency of Defense Industries, was attended by the Republic of Turkey. More than 200 representatives from 80 public institutions, especially the Presidency, and nearly 400 people from Cluster member companies participated. 50 Cluster member manufacturer companies also took part in the Summit, where panels and presentations were held for the development of the domestic Cyber Security ecosystem, with their stands.

Mr. In the opening speech made by Mustafa Murat ŞEKER, it was mentioned how important the use of domestic cyber security products is, especially in the public sector, while the Head of the Cyber Security and Information Systems Group of the Presidency of Defense Industries, Mr. Mustafa ÖZÇELİK gave information to the participants about the activities carried out by the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster within 1 year and the progress made in the development of the ecosystem.
At the summit, following the presentation made by Swordsec company CEO Seyfullah KILIÇ on cyber threats to the public, SSB Advisor Mr. In the panel moderated by Alpaslan KESİCİ, with the participation of Public IT managers from AFAD, TÜİK, MSB and THY, the cyber security sector in our country, the public's perspective on domestic cyber security products, needs and expectations from domestic products were discussed. In the second panel, moderated by SSB Turkey Cyber Security Cluster Project Manager Hasan Hüseyin ÖZBENLİ, with the participation of Cyber Security Cluster member companies, the experiences of domestic manufacturers at the point of sale to the public and their expectations from the public were evaluated.
In the afternoon part of the program, while information was given by STM and CRYPTTECH companies about the SİSAMER Project, which is ongoing under the General Staff, the 3rd panel, moderated by TR-TEST Cyber Security Director Mustafa YILMAZ, was held with the participation of TÜBİTAK, SSB, Istanbul University and LABRİS NETWORKS company, to discuss the testing and certification of domestic products, which is one of the most important issues in the development of the Cyber Security ecosystem. Evaluated through the eyes of the Tester and the Owner.
The Public National Cyber Security Summit, which continues with the introduction of the National Cyber Security Platform developed by the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster, was attended by Ulak Communications General Manager Dr. It ended with A. Metin BALCI's presentation on National Communication Infrastructure with Increased Public Security / ULAK MAYA Solutions.
The Public National Cyber Security Summit, where Public IT managers and Turkish Cyber Security Cluster member companies came together all day long, had a great impact on establishing collaborations between the parties to meet the cyber security needs of the public sector with domestic products.
